About Traverse Walls
13,000 kids climbing on our School Traverse Walls everyday and growing! We are the experts.
Traverse climbing walls evolved through climbers training on brick walls, bridges and viaducts to get stronger for real rock climbs. Traversing (going sideways) provided a safer option than going to great heights without a rope and NO mats! Nowadays, these walls are superb introduction to the sport of climbing for kids of all ages and abilities in playgrounds. They provide excellent opportunities to learn all the movement skills and techniques required to progress to full size walls, then onto outdoor rock climbs. Climbing Holds can be placed by trained route setters onto many stone buildings to provide an excellent, bright, fun and active addition to playgrounds and nurseries and to offer new teaching and learning options in secondary Core, Standard and Higher Physical Education.
We also manufacture our own range of special traverse wall climbing holds.
